Alcohol Awareness Week

Alcohol Awareness Week 2021, running from 15th to 21st November is focussing on alcohol and relationships.

We often associate alcohol with socialising, something we do when we meet up with friends, family and build connections with others.  However when your drinking or the drinking of a loved one has a negative effect on these relationships this can have a big impact on our lives.

Research has shown that during the pandemic, feeling lonely and isolated has resulted in us drinking more.  As we get back to normal we might find we are under pressure to drink more when out with friends again.

Alcohol Change UK have been joined by over 4000 GP surgeries, pharmacies , community groups and charities and will be exploring this issue, sharing stories, factsheets and tips through the week.
